Changes to Telehealth July 2020

COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus. This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in Wuhan, China, in December 2019.


Recent cases of COVID-19 have caused concern in the general public. 

If you feel sick you should stay away from others and practice good hygiene. If you feel you need to see a Doctor please call us on 02 4365 4488 do not enter the practice without calling first. 

Patients with symptoms please see below;

  1. If you have ANY symptoms of Cold and Flu a Negative COVID-19 result must be less than 2 weeks old.

  2. We must have a copy of the results - a text on your phone unfortunately will not be accepted.

  3. A mask must be worn at all times when in the practice.

From 20th July 2020, Telehealth GP providers will be required to have an existing and continuous relationship with a patient in order to provide Telehealth services.

A relationship is defined as the patient having seen the same practitioner for a face-to-face service in the last 12 months, or having seen a doctor at the same practice for a face-to-face service during the same period.

Exemption- people under the age of 12 months or people who are experiencing homelessness.

Shall you require a telehealth consult however you do not meet the above criteria to be bulk billed through Medicare we can organise a telehealth consult for a private fee please call us on 02 4365 4488 to discuss.

A telehealth consultation is an over the phone appointment with your Doctor. It is important that you are maintaining your regular checkups and not neglecting your general health.


To book a telehealth consultation, contact the practice on 02 4365 4488. At the time of your appointment your Doctor will call you. Please allow a one hour window surrounding your appointment, should your Doctor be running late. It may be useful to make a list of what you need to discuss during your consultation including any medications or referrals you may require. Please ensure that you are in a quiet room for your telehealth consultation.
